Today's reading is about fasting and holiness. The call to be holy, to be whole, of mind, body, and spirit, and how the only sadness in life is to not become a saint. Good meditation as Ash Wednesday approaches!

Today's reading is of those in destitution. Dorothy gives a clarification of who are the destitute through personal antidotes. Poverty is for all souls, but destitution produces a degradation of the soul.

Today's reading is of the need to enter into poverty, to truly live alongside the poor. We must not just pray for an ending of destitution, but of entering into poverty.

Hello and welcome to a little effort of mine, trying to do a podcast of sorts. My first effort is a recording of "Room for Christ" written by Dorothy Day and published in the Catholic Worker in December of 1945. Please comment your own thoughts on the audio quality. I'm recording on a TONOR TC-777 microphone and using Audacity for editing.
